Beauty layout for 49 and Market

Good morning 49 and Market friends and welcome so glad you could join me.
Today I would like to share with you this layout which was super quick to put together as I used the beautiful and very handy Laser Cuts!

'Beauty'

When I start a layout I always like to work with the design already on the printed paper. 49 and Market have a wonderful selection of beautiful paper collections so it is always a pleasure working with them.
So on this layout I mainly used the 'Tropical Paradise' Laser Cuts.
I decided where to place my photo on the background paper by incorporating the gorgeous design element on the left hand side of the paper. I didn't want to completely cover it up so tried to add it to my design.
Once I added the photo I popped out my chosen elements from the 'Laser Cut Sheet' and started playing with my design.
This took a little while as I always chip and change my mind but eventually it came together just the way I liked it, to me it is all about balance and I often even take a photo of my work before I commit to it. For some reason I find it easier to pick up on design flaws by looking at a picture of my work.
To finish off, I added just a couple of flowers and leaves from the 'Botanical Potpourri' range and last but not least the '2Crafty Chipboard' title to which I simply added some white embossing powder.

Products Used on this project:

'Tropical Paradise' Laser Cut Sheet

'Sweet Reflections' paper Collection - Observation

'Sweet Reflections' Laser Cut Sheet

'Botanical Potpourri - Marina

So that is it and it just goes to show you do not need a lot of product to make a beautiful page.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next time....

Love is a four legged word layout for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hi there friends and welcome to my blog.
I have been sitting on this gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard sentiment for a while now
and found the perfect photo to use it with finally.

'Love is a four legged word'

I started this layout by cutting up the 'Fiddle Stick Panel', added copper
embossing powder and arranged it in a random fashion behind my photo.

'Fiddle Stick Panel'

The copper embossing powder put a lovely shine on the panel.

After I arranged some 49 and Market flowers around my photo I used some
of the leaves from the 'Foliage Set 4', painted it with some pearl paint, cut it up
and stuck it amongst my flower clusters.

Here is another close up of the leaves, they are so gorgeous and special!

Last but not least, I again got my scissors out and trimmed up the sentiment -
added more pearl paint and placed the first two words above my photo and the
rest in the bottom right corner of the layout. I think this way the
whole design ties together.

A few little extra touches like art stones and ink splatter were added and there you have it.

Thanks again for stopping by, hope you like my layout.

Until next time.....

My Gorgeous Nephew layout for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hi there 2Crafty fans, Happy New Year and welcome to my first share for 2019 !

Today I would like to share with you a boy layout using some gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard.

'My Gorgeous Nephew'

2Crafty Products Used:
- 6" Mandala
- Word - My Gorgeous Nephew
- ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars Pack
- Arrows Funky

I trimmed the Mandala Chipboard and covered it in black embossing powder.

I love this Mandala Chipboard it is such a gorgeous piece.

Flowers are of course from 49 and Market.

The beautiful chipboard sentiment was also treated with
black embossing powder to tone in with the Mandala.

How cute are the tiny stars covered in some white embossing powder.

I left the little chipboard arrows raw as I didn't want to stand out to much,
I think it works well on this layout.

I really love the 'earthy' colours on this layout and even though I added flowers
and leaves I think I managed to keep it masculine enough to suit the photo.

That is it for me for now but I will be back in a few weeks time.

Until then.....

Lazy Days layout for 49 and market

Welcome back to my blog and Happy New Year to you all!
Hope you will have a healthy, happy and crafty 2019.
Today I would like to share with you a Summery layout as it is hot in my knack of the woods and for all of you in the cold, I would like to warm you up with this beach theme.

'Lazy Days'

Products Used:
– Sweet Reflections – Awakening (Reverse)
– Stargazers – Periwinkle
– Stamp – Bohemian Mask
– Stamp – Valerie’s Hibiscus Summer Stamp
– Sweet Reflections – Laser Cut Sheet
I started of with stamping randomly on my background paper with ‘Bohemian Mask’ stamp and Versa Mark ink. I sprinkled the images with distress embossing powder and heat set.
As you can see in this close up it gives it a sandy texture. Next I added some cheese cloth and bits of lace to add some texture.
Using the gorgeous ‘Periwinkle Stargazers’ I started working on my design.
On a piece of vellum I stamped my ‘Hibiscus’ flowers with Versa Mark ink and sprinkled with black embossing powder. I then fussy cut them and tucked them amongst my stargazers and other embellishments.
I finished of the layout by using a ‘bubble’ die cut and adding it randomly around my photo and amongst the other embellishments – as you know I love to create lots of layers. I also added a few pieces from the laser cut sheet.
Last but not least I added the sentiment by using the stamp from the ‘Hibiscus’ stamp set.
And there you have it, my first layout for 2019.
Until next time…..
