Amazing Day layout for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hi there 2Crafty friends and welcome once more.

Even though it is the Christmas season and everyone is feeling festive I thought I would just share a layout other then Christmas related.

This one uses a Wedding photo but it could easily be used for any other 'Amazing Day' subject.

'Amazing Day'

Products:
- 'Amazing Day' sentiment
- Wrought Iron Border - large
- Wrought Iron Borders - Medium

I added some opal magic violet-gold to the Wrought Iron Chipboard.

Unfortunately the camera is only picking up on the gold colour.

I layered the chipboard behind my photo and other embellishment as my main feature of the layout. The detail on this chipboard is so amazing I wanted to make sure it stood out from the rest.

Because I used a wedding photo for this layout I picked up some nice pieces of lace to represent the stunning wedding dress.

The 2Crafty Chipboard sentiment was coloured with some soft pink paint, again to pick up on some colours in the photo as well as some of the other embellishments used.

The flowers and laser cuts are of course from 49 and Market and were layered on top of the chipboard with some foam squares to add dimension.

And that is it for me for this month.

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Will hopefully see you all again in 2019.

Until next year.....

Hugs

Adventure layout for 49 and Market

Hello and welcome back again to my Blog.
Even though it is now Summer in my neck of the woods and rather warm I thought I would try to ‘cool’ off by creating a wintery layout.
‘Adventure’
I love the snow covered pine trees on this gorgeous background paper from the ‘Winters Edge’ collection and thought these funny photos would suit this paper really well. I mean who hasn’t at least once tried to catch falling snow with your tongue ðŸ™‚
Product List:
– Winters Edge Collection – Snow Covered Trees
– Winters Edge – Laser Cuts
– Stargazers – Simply White
– Botanical Blends – Navy
– Jute Cording – 5 ply
I added splatters of white ink to the Navy Botanical Blends flowers to mimic the fallen snow on the little girls woollen hat and scarf.
I tucked the white Stargazers amongst the navy flowers to add contrast and break up the colour scheme a bit.
I also added a few elements from the Laser Cuts sheet that weren’t to Christmas related like the pine cones and tucked them amongst my flowers.
How cute is the little lantern, just love it!
I separated some of the fibres from the jute cording and tucked bits and pieces of it amongst my other elements to give it a bit of a rustic feel.
Hello there little birdie ðŸ™‚
The snowflake chipboard pieces are of course from 2Crafty Chipboard and I added some Shimmering pearl embossing powder.
So that is it for my for now, I hope you enjoyed it.
Until next time….

Joy layout, CSI inspiration challenge for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog post.

Today I would like to share with you a Christmas layout.

'Joy'

This month 2Crafty Chipboard is a sponsor for CSI: Colour, Stories, Inspiration challenge and I am one of the lucky DT ladies who got to play along as Guest Detective

The scene for this month's Case File:

To copy the colour scheme I had some issues as I couldn't find any Christmas related papers in those colours so I went for the love struck collection by Authentique which I think worked well for this layout.

From the evidence I chose to use 2Crafty elements: stars, snowflakes/winter elements, animals (deer), Christmas elements (Holly Leaves) and for the testimony I chose the title word 'Joy'.

I added some silver embossing powder to the holly leaves and snow flakes and white embossing powder to the title, stars ad hearts and date to tone in with the other colours.

Other elements from the evidence are dots, grid pattern, more hearts, string, numbers, tag and from the testimony I added journaling to the tag which is tucked behind the photo mat as well as the photo is documenting the joy of the holidays.

Flowers are from 49 and Market and the stargazers make perfect poinsettia flowers.

Product List:
- Star Circular Frames
- Deer Set
- Fine Snow Flakes
- Holly Twig
- Christmas Card Words
- ATC Tiny Hearts and Stars pack
- 2018 Date Chipboard

And there you have it, I hope you enjoyed today's blog post.

Until next time......

Believe layout for 49 and Market

Good morning 49 and market fans and welcome to my blog. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend.
‘Believe’
Of course it is nearly Christmas so time to share a layout specifically for the festive season using again the gorgeous new ‘Winters Edge’ collection, this seriously is my favourite ’49 and Market’ paper collection.
Products Used:
– Winter’s Edge – Snowdrift
– Winter’s Edge – Laser Cut Sheet
– Cottage Blooms – Poppy
– Floral Mixology – Emerald Isle
As you can see in this close up I added some gold wax to the Cottage Blooms to add some Christmas Sparkle.
I made good use of the Laser Cut Sheet and added lots of elements to my layout, tucking them in between layers.
I even added some elements actually found in my garden, you can see here I used some seed pods of one of my native bushes.
Of course I used some of my favourite 2Crafty Chipboard pieces and painted them gold (don’t you just love those reindeer’s) and finished of with some art stones for a bit of extra texture.
I just love this time of the year and can’t wait for the festive season to start.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Until next time…..

Christmas Magic layout for 49 and Market

Welcome Crafty Friends to another Blog Post.
Today I would like to share with you a Christmas layout using the absolutely stunning new ‘Winters Edge’ collection designed by our very own Janene Jaeger Meyerowitz .

'Christmas Magic'

As you can see, and really you need to see these in real life, these papers are absolutely gorgeous. The backgrounds are full of life and clever designs and you therefor don’t need to add a lot of media to it. The only thing I added was a star stencil and some light paste just because I think every Christmas layout needs some stars.
Products Used;
– Winter’s Edge Collection – Season’s Greetings
– Winter’s Edge Collection – Laser Cuts
– Cottage Blooms – Cotton
– Floral Mixology – Emerald Isle
As you can see in this close up I clustered my flowers and tucked some of the Laser Cuts amongst them. I find layers and dimension are so much more eye catching then a flat layout so if you need to, add foam tape or cardboard to raise your embellishments.
How gorgeous are those boots and what about the wee little car with the holly.
Here is a close up of the Star Stencil I used, it just adds a bit of extra dimension and how cute is that lantern? The chipboard is of course from 2Crafty Chipboard and I just added some gold glitter embossing powder. You can never have enough gold and glitter on a Christmas layout.
This close up really shows all those layers. The Laser Cuts are perfect for adding those special accents to your project.
Here is a perfect close up of those gorgeous Cottage Blooms. I left them perfectly white on this project but you could make them any colour you want to suit your layout.
And there you have it, Winter’s Edge Collection, perfect for all your Christmas and/or Winter layouts.
I hope you like my layout.
Until next time….

Life is short Take the journey layout for 2Crafty chipboard

Good morning 2Crafty fans and welcome to the blog!

Today I created this layout with a bit of a beach theme but I think it would work well for any photo.

I played with a bit of colour and used some sprays for the background. Flowers and paper are of course from 49 and Market.

Products Used:
- Fishing Net Bits
- Fern Leaf Set
- Life is Short Word Sentiment

I love the 'Fishing Net Bits', I think they make the perfect background for this photo. I added some gold embossing powder and a little bit of silver wax to highlight.

The sentiment is gorgeous, I love the fonts used and that is why I kept it simple by just adding some white embossing powder, I think it stands out nicely amongst all the colour.

I also separated the word 'Journey' from the rest of the title so I was able to place it on the layout in two different spots, I think it balanced it out perfectly.

Last but not least I added the 'Fern Leaves', again keeping them simple and white to match the title and tucked them amongst my flowers. Finished it all off with some art stones and 3D gel.

That is it again from me for now. Thank you so much for popping in.

Until next time.....

Hugs
