'Just Smile, so special, so you' layout designed for 49 and Market

Good morning friends and welcome, so glad you could join me.

Today I would like to share with you a 'boy' layout using the ever so gorgeous 'Vintage Remnants' collection. It has got a very grunge but at the same time soft and sweet designs to it, perfect for all sorts of occasions.

I just love my flowers so I still add them to my boy layouts however to make it less feminine I usually use subtle colours and lots of other grunge elements like some corrugated cardboard and the gorgeous Dusty Attic Chipboard Cogs. I simply added some pewter embossing powder in a random fashion and it gave it this fantastic 'metal' look, so happy with how that turned out.

To balance all the darker colours I added some gorgeous white flowers among all the layers as well as some yellow burlap tucked in here and there. It creates some lovely highlights I think.

The other day I was also so pleased to find some preserved moss in a dollar store. Grabbed a few bags of it as I knew it would come in handy one day. I added some of this to this layout among the chipboard pieces and I just love the end result. Finished it off with my go to embellishment 'art stones'. Just love this stuff as well, it really finishes a layout perfectly by giving it that extra dimension.

'Wonderful' layout designed for 49 and Market

Hi there friends and welcome back to my blog. I have been lucky enough to be able to create with the absolutely gorgeous new collection 'Bold and Beautiful', you really have to see this collection in real life to appreciate its beauty.

Wonderful

The designs on the papers are just so stunning and you really don't need to add too much to it other then try to enhance it with some matching embellishments.

That is what I tried to do here, work with the printed design and just add layers like these gorgeous Stargazer flowers and various Laser Cuts I had left over from other projects.

I also used some Dusty Attic Chipboard which I pretty much left as is except I added a tiny bit of Walnut distress ink to highlight.

I always like to create many layers for dimension by adding of cuts of cardboard, so easy and creates that gorgeous 3D effect.

Finished it of with some tiny accents like bits of lace, cheesecloth and art stones.

'Precious' layout designed for 2Crafty Chipboard an 49 and Market

Hi there again and welcome!.

I have been on a bit of a crafty roll the past few weeks and I am making the most of it as I know there will come a day where the mojo runs out for a while. 

On this layout I used some of the gorgeous new chippie from '2Crafty Chipboard'. So this chipboard layered in between the flowers is called 'Fine Floral Frame Set' and it is so gorgeous and delicate, so much fine detail, it compliments all my flower layers beautifully.

I just added some black embossing powder.

Other products used:

- Garden Seeds - Sandcastle

I used '49 and Market' stamp set by Gerry van Gent - Gerry's flower and added it to the background amongst the chipboard with some silver ink.

The backgroun paper is 'Captured Adventures' - Faded Memories.

I also added some pearl ink spray to the Blossom Blends to make them sparkle a bit.

More than Words September Main Challenge

Hey everyone, I am back again and this time I decided to play along with the Main Challenge at More Than Words this month - Sunshine and Yellow.

I just love Sunshine Yellow and I knew I just had the perfect photo for this challenge. This picture just screams Sunshine, Joy and Happiness and creating this layout put a smile on my face, now I am really looking forward to Summer.

I used Papers and Flowers from my DT - 49 and Market and the Chipboard is from my DT 

2Crafty Chipboard.

I added some Sunshine Yellow spray to the background. I layered some lace and cheese cloth behind  my photo to create some softness.

Just love the colour in this photo - perfect for this challenge I think and the laser cuts added a quick and easy touch to my flowers.

I added some gold touches also by using gold glitter embossing powder on the chipboard, it added some sparkle to the yellow accents.

Really happy with how this came together, combining the yellow and gold with some touches of white brings a real softness to the layout, hope you like it as well!
