Had a good day yesterday :)

In the morning I woke up to a lovely email from Dena from Webster's Pages telling me I got 'Banner of the Week' over at their ning site with my layout I posted in the previous post!

This is what they said about it:

This week's banner comes to us from inspireME member Hetty who hails from the Land Down Under. Hetty created this jaw dropping layout using our Country Estate Collection.
The combination of the neutral patterned paper colors with the burst of bright colors from the spray mist just make this really pop.
Congratulations on being the featured project of the week!

How amazing is that considering there are so many stunning projects in that gallery, I am completely blown away by this!

Then Wendy left me a lovely comment here on my blog saying I had been chosen as a featured winner on the Bird is the word challenge blog! :)

So good day indeed :)

Today we went over to my friend Julie's house as it was her daughter Lilly's birthday plus they just moved into their brand new house they built and it is beautiful, they did such a lovely job and it was great catching up with some of the other mums as well! Made a card for the occasion.

Products used are Webster's Pages and Scrapware chipboard.

Till  next time, hugs xx

Haven't scrapped this size photo for a while!

5" x 7" that is, used to scrap them all the time then went to smaller photos and just stopped scrapping this size. Funnily enough it is hard getting used to it again. Love this photo of Taylor, she is so beautiful, I know I am biased but I don't care, lol!!

Papers are Chanteuse by Kaisercraft - gorgeous range, with a little Dusy Attic and Prima accents thrown in.

Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapware sneek revealed!

A few posts back I posted some sneak peeks of my Scrapware entry for their blog. Well today I can share the whole project.

I covered the overlay with some Kaisercraft printed paper, inked the edges and sealed it with Mod Podge. I used a 12 x 12 canvas and ripped the canvas of the frame, sealed it with gesso and painted it with gold paint. I then adhered my overlay with foam dots to the frame. It was then decorated with some Webster's Pages printed paper, some Prima Flowers and more Scrapware chipboard, which I covered in some Tim Holtz crackle paint. To finish it of I used a whole sheet of Webster's Pages and curved it around the back, fastening it with sticky tape, so it gives the illusion of looking straight into it.

Something a little different!

I cut Alicia out of the photos and tried to integrate her into the layout. The way the photos are placed gives it a real feeling of depth and I am really happy how this turned out.

Thank you to the lovely friends on FB who helped me out with the title work :)

Kraft It Up June Challenge

Yeh I am on a roll, found my scrappy mojo with a venegance and now I can't stop, lol!!

This month your challenge is to create a layout on KRAFT/KRAFT PATTERNED PAPER using a "TIME LINE"
You will need to use a minimum of 3 photos (any size) and journaling, telling the story of what your "time line" is about.
This could be a collection of photos of your child playing a sport, dancing, or a school carnival, it could be a layout documenting certain events in your life, when you had children, bought houses, what you do in a day or month...
inspiration can be drawn from anywhere as long as your time line is in chronological order, ie from start to finish...

So here is my take on the challenge!

So cold here in Queensland at the moment and we have a long weekend coming up so might have to keep warm in my scraproom, it is after all the warmest spot in the house ;)

Till next time :)

Bird is the word

So I decided to play along with Bird is the word challenge using the word life, live or living as part of your title or journaling. Makes you think outside the box when you are searching for a title!

I used Kaisercraft Pink Gelato collection - love the soft pastel colours. And while I was at it and because we don't have any internet at the moment as we are in the process of changing providers ( quickly using some mobile broadband ) I made a card as well.

Thanks for stopping by :)
